Incorporating bold Lino cut prints, vibrant watercolours and textiles. Award winning Artist and Printmaker Antonietta Torsiello brings the London Rocks exhibition to Diverse in Brixton’s Cold harbour lane.
Championing the influences and long standing history of African/Caribbean communities in London. From entrepreneurial spirit, rich clothing, foods, music and iconic Notting Hill Carnival, which embodies community, creativity and the Love is Power theme.
A two layer window installation will invite viewers to look closer at the fabric of London’s history. Featuring bold lino cut prints of iconic symbols and imagery, with a vibrant patch work background of watercolour paintings inspired by traditional African fabrics and carnival costume.
The public is also invited to come along and create their own original Art print in an interactive workshop incorporating linocut and watercolours on Tuesday 19th September 6.30-9pm. There will also be a limited edition product range at Diverse during the Pop Up.
